The Statistical Modeling Guidance Group (SMGG) brings together a team of analysts and researchers with quantitative experience from across campus to discuss various common issues or questions faced by analysts using student data at the University of Arizona, and to produce documents offering guidance on such issues. 

This group started in Spring 2025 (focusing on guidance for Propensity Score Matching) and the first guidance document will be available by the start of Fall 2025. The SMGG will continue to meet going forward, tackling one theme each semester. This group’s output aims to improve the standard and consistency of analyses across campus, and provide support to developing assessment professionals.
